Old school!

I saw something last night that I have not seen in years. Coming down the interstate and this late 90's model Xcab passes and attached to the rear wheel wells were........CURB FEELERS!!!

How do these things work? If you have the radio up you cannot hear them scraping on something. Any ideas? Anyway I got a good laugh from them b/c it has been so long since I have seen any.

heh.. here in so-cal, I see them every now and again.. its usually on some lowriders pimped out ride, just for looks.. kind of like the crooked mini-mudflaps.. you guys know what Im talking about?

anyways my late grandfathers 78 cadillac (still in the family and CHERRY) has curb feelers, Im thinking they are either a factory or dealer add-on because I dont think he put them on.. brings back memories

I grew up mainly in Ft. Lauderdale where the average age seemed to be 55! Curb feelers were common on all the land boats these people owned. They emit a noise to the driver when they touch something. I don't know what noise that is, or where it comes from though. But on that subject, I heard a lot of backing-up-beeps coming from these boats too.

Have you guyes seen those mirrors that go on you dash so you can see the light if you pull up too far? I saw some of them on some older cars that were at a local show. Look pretty funny.
