Getting ready for brake booster upgrade

I am about to add a brake booster to my drum/drum brake system on my 69 C20. I was going to buy the booster and master cylinder from Oreilly's. I know I am going to need the mounting bracket to fit it to the firewall. So.....if anyone has a spare hit me up. I'd rather buy off of a board member then trek around in the boneyards here.

My other question is... Will there be anything else that I will need to complete the upgrade. I know there's a vacuum line from the intake to the booster. But, is there anything else that I am missing?

Added a booster to my 72 last summer. Direct install. Nothing tricky or anyother parts needed. I eventually re-bent some new brake lines to pretty things up though. You may have to readjust the brake light switch under the dash; you'll know if your brake lights wont turn off.

Is this the one you're getting? Seems like a pretty good deal

Along with the mounting bracket for the firewall, make sure you get the rod that goes from the brake pedal through the firewall. They are different.

It would be best if you found one on a parts truck. That way you could make sure you get all the pieces you need.

Looks like it's a little less expensive at Autozone, and appears to be the exact same brand part

That is the one I was looking at. I want to buy new so that I know it will be in working condition. I wish I could find bracket and pedal rod for sale. But, will probably end up looking for a parts truck in the bone yards. I never find what I'm looking for around here in these yards.

Do they carry the bracket and pedal rod at Brothers, without buying the whole booster from them?

I'm going down to San Diego to see my in-laws this weekend. I am going to ride by Brothers on the way down and see what they have. I have a friend in Temecula that I am going to see on the way. He has a couple gallons of Herculiner for me. I plan on re-doing my bed and my tool box as well. Hopefully, I can get back to working on my truck this coming week.

I've decided my next projects are:

Brakes (Booster)
Bed Liner
2" drop shackles for rearend
Swaybar for front
Windshield
Fan shroud and engine clean up
and some interior paint work

From what I've been told, a bracket, etc. will not work from a later model truck. It has to be one from our trucks.
