Quick question?
My buddy from work just bought a 70 c10 longbed and thinks he has the wide rear end in the truck. Someone remind me how to get that measurement again. Can't remember from what point to what point to get that measurement. I did mine once but it has been a while. I'm having a brain fart trying to explain to him. lol

Re: Quick question?
I am told it is from whell mounting surface to wheel mounting surface.

Re: Quick question?
lay down under the truck, and you can measure from the inside of one backing plate to the other. 55.5" = early rear end. 57" = late rear end.
30.5" axle shaft length on the early rear ends (mounting surface to the end of the splines) and 31 5/16 on the later rear ends. (just an easy way to do it without taking the wheels off)
