Detroit Diesel 6v-71 MPG
I currently have a few K30 builds going on from the frame up and was thinking about putting a Detroit 6v-71 in one. I was wondering what kind of fuel milage I would get. Would a NV4500 be able to be adapted to be used with it? I love the sound of the old Detroits. Ant input would be awesome.

Re: Detroit Diesel 6v-71 MPG
SharpshOOter is asking if a 6v71 can or will get good mileage. The 6v means the engine is a 6 cylinder, V configuration. The 71 means 71 cubic inches per cylinder.
As fast as the mileage on a 6v71, I can't say. I have no experience with the 6v's.

Re: Detroit Diesel 6v-71 MPG
A 6v71 is heavy and big would be a lot of fab to put in a truck. A 6v53 would be a better swap or a 4-53. As far as mileage probably around 8 mpg if your nice to it.
