Heater control question

I have a 1971 C-10 with an original dash-mounted heater control unit. The other day I moved the top slider (to control the defrost mode) and the lever broke inside.

I bought from Classic Industries a new lever kit and I just removed the heater control unit from the dash. I see a main pin mechanism that locates/holds all three lever arms, but I can't seem to be able to remove the pin so that I can install the new levers.

Can anyone help?

There should be a C clip on one end of the pin. I always use a needle nose pliers to pop them off. Lube the pin up and it should slide right out.

I took a quick look and did not see a c-clip. Is the clip inbetween some of the lever arms or ??

If you can't see where it attaches and holds on the bottom, it likely fell off, the pin slid, and the particular switch you are pulling isn't functioning because of it. This happened to me. Luckily, I found the little piece on the cab floor, bent it back to shape and put it in.

Ive got a heater control i took off my truck. Its not perfect but in good shape. Pay shipping and its yours. Problem solved

Hi there,
I see that this post is ancient. But any chance you've still got the heater control? My lever broke just as Kiwi's.
