33x12.5?
Just curious if 33x12.5x15's will fit on a stock 4x4? I saw the tire fitment thread that said 33s would, but I am mostly curious about the 12.5 width. Also any pics would be awesome!

I had them on my K20 with no lift. I think the wheels were something like 8.5, or maybe a tad wider, plain steel. I didn't take it off road wheeling though. I think if you did off road stuff you could have clearance issues if you did a lot of bouncing. There may still be pictures of it in my profile ... the green one.

I have run 33x12.5s on a stock K10 before. They will usually fit if you have springs that aren't sagging, but 40 year ols springs almost always are. I would run 31x10.5s personally, or get a 2.5" lift kit. That is what I did on my old 71 K10.
Here it is with 33x12.5s and a 2.5" Tough contry EZ ride kit. |

Here's mine this past winter. I think the wheels are 15x8. No lift and no rubbing.

Thanks for the pics guys. I like the look of no lift with the 12.5's, seems likely that is what I will do! I do a little bit of offroading, but mostly trail type stuff, nothing to radical.

When people say 33s you can assume they mean 12.50s. That was all there was till more recently,so narrower ones need the width to be specified. They fit, better with 8" than 10" wide wheels. I've run all terrains on 9.75s and 8.25s with minimal rubbing on original very sagged springs on my '72
