Keller MAC 72 Rebuild - Hope you enjoy!

Rebuilt this 72 from frame-off to what it is now. We did some unique things to this restro-mod. We removed the gas tank and replaced it with a 69 Camaro fuel tank. We took the original fuel tank and made a speaker box out of it - we added baffles and 4 speakers and sub-woofer and covered it with outdoor carpet - it bolted up perfectly. We filled in the stake holes for a smoother look.

We rebuilt the original 350 engine and added dual exhaust.

We welded in all the trim holes and elected to keep it very clean and no trim.

We still need a rear bumper and to Rhino the bed, but we are getting close.

Hope you approve of our efforts!

Great looking truck. Will be interested to see the rear bumper, are you thinking chrome with a flip down plate?

Re: Keller MAC 72 Rebuild - Hope you enjoy!

Thanks Everyone for the nice comments and words! This has been a labor of love - I used this rebuild as a vehicle to mentor young men in our church. It took over three years to get it to where it is today. If interested, I can post some before and during pics as well.

Yes Kidd, I am looking at putting a Chrome Bumper with a flip-down license plate - do you think that will look OK?

Does anyone have the same setup on the fuel tank and bumper? - I would love to hear from you and pick your brain.

Great looking truck. I've got a '67 that is the same color.

Not to nit pick but I think your rear hood rubber seal is on upside down. Maybe it just looks that way...

I think the chrome will look great on there, I'm interested in where to get the chrome bumper with a cut out for the flip down plate.

Great job and good works all rolled into one! Can't beat that combo with a stick.

Clever idea re-using the gas tank. It doesn't reverb?

Re: Keller MAC 72 Rebuild - Hope you enjoy!

RSavage - here are some pics of the speaker box install - I will need to take a picture of the finished product, but here is us making it.

LockDoc - is the rear rubber seal really on upside down - We forgot how the old came off and took a chance on getting it right - Good Thing you saw that - Thanks

No Reverb at all! Sounds Great! We put the original AM Factory Radio in the dash and mounted a AM/FM CD Disc Radio in the Glove Box. I am going to install Kick Panels with speakers for the front sound - anyone have thoughts or suggestions on where the best panels are?

Thanks again for your positive comments - we really appreciate them!
