Rarest of the rare!

Lets see what is out there. I mean look through the local stuff or internet and see what people are selling. If you can post links fine or just pictures.

Beautifully restored very rare Custom Camper/20 Super. Factory 427 option. Everything on the truck has be done to show quality standards. Mechanically like new thruout. Truck runs and drives extremley strong and everything works like new. Fantastic addition to any collection or just for that classic truck fanatic. $16,900

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Rarest of the rare!

There were factory 427 blocks for sure. They just were never installed in 67-72 trucks at the factory for public sale. Kind of like the rare SS Super Sport truck in 67-72 ~~~hehehe ho,ho,ho

Re: Rarest of the rare!

Huck, you can't blame some people for advertising trucks as Super Sports. Cause some spids say cheyenne super sport equipment, and the less knowing just try to make a quick buck on someone elses lack of knowledge. the 427 option is a pretty good one, though. Some people

It looks nice and all and some work has been put into it but for claiming all the originality like they do it sure isn't original. I hate the CD player and the fact that it's not an AC cab pisses me off (i'm in texas, can you blame me?) but the seat puts it over the top for me.

Re: Rarest of the rare!

I also love how they have a 60's model corvette emblem on the fender, that is a CORVETTE spacific emblem, they have never put the corvette flags on anything else.

Fricking posers.

I drove a factory-built 1974 Chevrolet truck that had a 427 in it! It had two transmissions, too. Oh, it also had two rear axles.

My SPID has super sport listed on it. It is nothing more than the cheyenne super package. I believe this was present on trucks made at the St Louis plant.

Re: Rarest of the rare!

There`s no such thing as a Custom Camper Super. The only Supers were Cheyenne Supers and they weren`t made before`71.I think 427 means 7 minutes after you got stoned.

According to the VIN that he shows (CE249Z894878) it was a V-8 truck. Probably not the 427 though.

Exactly, medium duty trucks had a tall deck 427's for years. Got one in my dad's '78 tow truck. Pretty much no top end but it could pull Hawaii to California if the truck could get traction.
