Re: 1965 c10 door window removal.

The wing needs to be taken loose and turned sideways with window down then work the window off the rollers. Felts have to come off to get window out.

Re: 1965 c10 door window removal.

I just did my 66 this afternoon. Here is how I do it.
Roll the window down.
Pull the door panel.
Remove the two screws for the vent.
Remove the three screws for the vent along the front of the door.
Slide the vent down and back till it clears the door frame and pull it in and up.
Turn it 90 degrees to the left and lift it out.
Remove and replace the run channel in the vent assembly.
Slide the window forward till it hit the brace in the door under where the vent came out.
Put a small pencil mark at the top of the dor to mark the end of the run channel.
Pull the old run channel starting at the top.
Pry out the old window seals. I use a stiff putty knife wrapped in duct tape to protect the paint and be real careful.
Install the new window seals.
Install the new run channel for the door fram starting at the pencil line. You will be able to get all of it except the last 6 inches or so.
Slide the window back some and roll it up lining it up in the run channel as it gets close.
Now you can reach in the door and get the last bit of the run channel in.
Roll the window back down and slide it back into the new run channel.
Put the vent back in just like it came out and put the screws in.
Door panel and done.
Jimmy
