Car show cash theft

Sorry to say i just learned that funds from our large local show were stolen TODAY. The cashbox reportedly had over $5000 in it when taken. Apparently those in charge were momentarily distracted. This is even more alarming that it occurred during the show, in a room full of car show merchandise that was inside a casino. The cash was from registration fees and sale of merchandise. The casino cameras may be of use. Heads up to all who help or run car shows. Revising your security measures may be a wise move. I know they are doing that here now but a little late.

The ability to speak several languages is an asset, but the ability to keep your mouth shut in any language is priceless.

Hope so. The casino cameras may help. Think it was a multi thief operation. Promoters also broke cardinal rule of doing "cash drops" when too much was in box. Seen this happen at other venues including garage sales and collector shows. Heads up as thieves target such opportunities. Wonder since it was substantial loss it may affect club activities Will post any news.

They will be lucky if cops get them before club members. In current state of extreme national unrest they might suffer unanticipated consequences. Enough is enough.
