1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
well i am makin a new build thread that will continue the build of my 67 and later on in life the other cab will be a 67 GMC so this will be more organized with pics in order.
this will be a 67 chevy CST shortbed fleetside with the tailgate and taillight trim rear cab trim and lower trim. the cabs information is, its a 1/2 ton, chevy, longbed, fleetside, V8, automatic 350, made in Fremont CA on the day January, 5th 1967, and its a 2wd, it came with lower trim, radio, power brakes, ammeter oil gauges, and A/C. here are pics of it still at the PO's house. He said it was a complete running truck when he got it. he took the bed off and it bent so he trashed it. The front end he sold . He sold the frame as well so he just put it on a frame. |

and here is my undercoating. its rustoleum its rubberized, resists rust and its paintable. i like black so i think we are good. you can see what still needs to be sanded and cleaned. and were i did sand but didnt primer or paint yet.

Good job Rick! The saga continues! How long do you think it'll be before you do the swap?

well by or before november 18th the cab should be on the frame. i almost have the bottom all sanded and primed then undercoated. so as soon as its under coated and the firewall is painted then i can have the whole truck inside the garage..... |

soon lol especially after i post these new pics! and now for pics! i took pics of the spotlight install and the floor like i said. then it was on to the windows! the rubbers were pealing back and it didnt look good! so i cut the rubbers took the windows out (the rear window was factory green tint and i was going to keep it but.... it fell and shattered!!!!!) then i brought out the wire wheel on the griinder got my saftey glasses and went to town! soon i found a clean window frame with 2 or 3 pin holes and some pitting the rest is all still nice. how'd you like this patina! im going to try my best to keep this top the original white, gonna have some fun still! |
