Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was my birthday and all I really wanted to do was play with my old truck. So, we spent the day at my parents house with my brother and his family. We had a blast, but the best part was getting my '68 out of the shop and driving it around the farm. As soon as I get my '65 Mustang sold I'm bringing this bad boy to my house so I can start tearing it apart. I can't wait! My almost 2 yr. old even loved riding in the truck more than the 4 wheeler. Yep, that's my son.

Re: Happy Birthday to Me!

Kids today are thrilled to ride on the farm or even up a driveway without a child seat. Their eyes just light up when the truck starts moving. I certainly don't advocate taking them out on the road without being legaly and securely fastened, but it's amazing what we used to do when we were kids. I remember laying on the passenger floor near the heater when I was little on cold Colorado mornings to stay warm in my Dad's trucks. Happy Birthday!

That's how I got started on these trucks. My grandfather would ride us around on his farm in his '68 3/4 ton. It was really rocky so we called them bump, bump rides. My dad sold the truck a few years after he died. I wish we still had it.

First off Happy Belated Birthday!

Secondly, I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day. Glad to hear the family loved the ride.
