just saying hello

Hey guys not new to the forum but new to 67-72. I had a 65 GMC for about the last year and a half, but I'm selling it and found a sweet 69 shortbed. Looking forward to learning more about these body style trucks.

Re: just saying hello

Welcome.

You have come to the right place to learn about 67-72 trucks.

I have learned a lot about them myself.

Post some pics when you get a chance and if you have any questions post them. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here.

Re: just saying hello

1967-72's have achieved the icon status, haven't they? Used to be, for me anyway, that the '64-66 was the desireable truck. I've had 2 '61's and 3 '65's, including short step, long step, short wide and long wide. Done up "right", the '64-66's are nice-looking rides. They just don't have the level of "gotta have one" that the '67-72's do. The latter style just has too much aftermarket assistance to make the earlier style as easily restored/rodded/restified.
