Re: What did you get done 1/25/15 edition

got most of my drop done. The spindles I got were mislabeled so the front is only down 3 inches. Installed energy suspension bushing, inner and outer tie rod ends, pitman arm (very difficult), idler arm, ball joints, upper and lower a-arms, drop springs, flip kit, wheel bearings, brakes, etc. 17 hours and 3 trips to the parts store and it's 90% done.

I plastidipped some of the chrome on the front. I'm thinking of doing the trim on the sides too... if I decide I don't like it, it's not too hard to remove.

I'd like to do something about the grill too, not sure what though.

Re: What did you get done 1/25/15 edition

Several things. Had to replace the cap/rotor in my son's 91 Camaro. I had never seen a cap/rotor keep a car from starting, I mean nothing, never tried to fire. Put the cap/rotor on and she fired right up. Has fired up every time now.

Got the clutch/brake pedal assembly in my 86. Going to get the drive shafts shortened this week. Hopefully order the heartthrob exhaust in the next 2 weeks!

Almost been 3 months since I took the k5 off the road to go manual. I am ready to get her on the road.

Re: What did you get done 1/25/15 edition

Had some help, so I swapped out my np203, to a np205. Everything works, and I didn't find anything else broken in the process, so it was a good weekend!

Re: What did you get done 1/25/15 edition

Bought a set of window felt/gaskets for both doors at a swap meet and spent a good amount of time fighting to remove the window then fighting the crap fitment of the new stuff. Its better than the pieces that were still there but I now see what all the complaints ive read over things just not fitting when it comes to repop parts for our trucks.

And I still have the driver side to do...yay.
