Lets see some custom gas tank photos

I did a search and hope this isnt a repost but id like to see some ideas for relocating my gas tank, since it has been removed from the truck i purchased.

This is what I've done with my '51. I was going for an old truck/tool box look.

Hey weircc, I've been planning the same thing after I saw John Fabris do it on here.
how much did the tank run and where did you find the cap? I have one I found on ebay but the edges are knurled to make it easier to open but I don't like how it looks rough one the ends when closed due to the knurling. Thanks.

well the tank was rather high you can get them right out of jegs i believe as for the cap just search ebay pop up gas caps thats what i did should be lots of options hope this helps

Thanks! I made it with 1x6's ripped in half. I think I made the front panel first then framed up the sides and supports for it, then made the top. I used the tank I had left over from the donor Camaro, it fits nice. The hinges I got from Home Depot they are just old lookin gate hinges. I used screws and wood glue to put it all together.
