Barrett Jackson Scottsdale

Has anyone been following this year's auction? Looks like the trucks (in all eras) are pulling pretty decent money (quite a few around the 25-30K mark).

Thursday looks like truck day... There are quite a few on the block including a couple of high-quality "custom" builds. Should be interesting. What I have noticed is that values have been coming down for street rods, numbers matching mopars, chevelles, etc. but bit by bit truck values have been on the rise. Good news for us that already know chevy trucks rule .

Re: Barrett Jackson Scottsdale

I would have to agree. I think ebay has contributed to the truck market. Barrett prices aren't too far from ebay price.........at least for complete resto/mods.

Re: Barrett Jackson Scottsdale

I watched it for awhile, saw a few trucks... saw them pick apart a white cadiallac too, has some rusty bolts under the hood... why would someone pay the prices to auction that at BJ?

Cool Re: Barrett Jackson Scottsdale

I went to Barrett Jackson last night. Walked the tents, there are tons of trucks this year, and some very nice ones at that.....
They run from really high optioned, down to some that are almost "plain jane". I was surprised at the number of Custom Deluxes vs. I was expecting more "Cheyene Supers".
Quite a few none A/C trucks, that may not sell as well here, to any locals.

None truck related, the evening "twilight" session, is the best 10 buck car show I have ever seen. So, it is a great value, early in the week and evenings. Tents have lights in them, good enough for the car show. If you were buying you better look in the day....
I was surprised to see some crap there too. Don't know how or why some of that stuff made it to the auction.
The Blastolene Roadster is cool, and check out his website, and the "Piss'd off Pete", thats totally awsome, and saw it at the Pavillions last Saturday evening.
Cheers to all...
