Got a new GoPro lately. Tried it out for the first time a few days ago. Just thought I'd share. More vids to come on a later date.

Re: 68 stepside+LS1+new GoPro=

Apparently it's been too long since I've visited on a regular basis here. I posted this in the wrong section. I didn't even realize I was in the "projects and builds" section.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

Re: 68 stepside+LS1+new GoPro=

Thanks, everyone. My exhaust is 2.5" pipes with Magnaflow mufflers. I lowered the rear a bit more last winter, and have contact issues. I may look into having the exhaust redone again soon, but have it built in a "modular" style with removable sections. The question, though is to spend the extra money for V-bands, or use header collecters.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Sweet. Hang and aim the camera at your suspension next time so we can see it move ( or not) during your speed run.

Re: 68 stepside+LS1+new GoPro=

Sounds awesome, I love driving on the dragon in my car, the truck isn't quite ready for the trip there, let alone the drive on it.
Word of caution though. Those gopro lenses scratch and chip easily, be careful when mounting it behind your tires, they throw one rock and you'll be buying a lens kit

How long is the dragon tail? I hear people talk about it all the time and it doesn't look any crazier than the roads where I grew up. Maybe it's just me and I'm jaded because I grew up in the hills where all the roads are like that, but I hear about people flocking to roads like the dragons tail and mullhollund drive and then I watch the videos and I'm like "that's it?"

No discredit to your driving or your beauty of a truck though... that thing sounds awesome, especially when the wind dies down and you hear the turbo spool.

** if your wondering what I mean use Google maps and plot a course from Valley springs, CA to Willseyville, CA.

Basically, it's 318 curves in 11 miles. Alot of the curves are switchback curves and one right after another. I also grew up in this area, and been on many other curvy roads. The Dragon just seems to be the most advertised and draws more media attention. There's alot of roads in East TN, western NC, and North GA that are just as curvy and more technical. The Dragon is just more popular. The other roads around here can actually be more fun because their less crowded.

BTW, my engine does not have a turbo, that's just my power steering pump whining.
