How one ebay seller treats and feels about us. be leary.

Recently I purchased some parts for my 69 on Ebay through a seller with the ID of truckparts67_72 , its been over 10 days and no parts and when i email him he said this:

"i cant for sure say when or if you will get it this week, as a seller we are allowed up to seven days to ship by pay pal rules and usps takes up to 9 day to ship parcel post ,l really dont care for the 67-72 forum and what they may say about this, you'll get your parts eventually"

I told him if i dont get my parts soon I will tell the 67-72 Chevy/gmc Forum about my experience with him, I thought you all should know.

Good ole tex again. AVOID at all costs. Everyone that I have known from here has gotten shafted. Either no parts or crappy parts.

Read the "sticky" at the top of the 67-72 parts forum. Same bastard. He doesn't care about how we at 67-72chevytrucks.com feel about him because he has already been banned from the board and has ripped off a lot of members. Hopefully you're stuff will show up.

Re: How one ebay seller treats and feels about us. be leary.

Do this: Track the e-bay action and let him know you are doing this and give other people the same report you have given here. I have done this before with people who have been a problem on e-bay and you get attention and your goods real quick. If enough people would complain to others about him, he will be gone!!!!!

Re: How one ebay seller treats and feels about us. be leary.

You can get his contact info here:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQtZvbQQsofindtypeZ9

This consists of name, city, state, and phone #......

The only problem is that he will get yours at the same time.

You should have everything except the phone # in the winning bidder notice.

Re: How one ebay seller treats and feels about us. be leary.

Hey Boise I made the same mistake and won a couple of his auctions before I researched it. Took me a little more than a month to get my parts but I did get them. He had plenty of excuses everytime I emailed him and even when I called him. He won't get anymore of my money that's for sure. His prices arn't all that great anyway. For what he charges for shipping you should get more than "parcel post".

Re: How one ebay seller treats and feels about us. be leary.

send him a message saying that if they are not picked up by the end of the 7 days or tomarrow if its past the 7 days or your going to file a complaint with E-bay and get your money back, that is if the part your trying to get is easy to find. i had the same problem when i bought a radiator, fan, thermostat + pipes for a ninja 250 (im putting the engine out of a ninja250 into my ysr50) and it took the lady 4 weeks to ship it, and along the way i got 100+ excuses

Re: How one ebay seller treats and feels about us. be leary.

All in all I've had very good luck with ebay, no burns, but in the past 2 weeks i've had real problems with 2 people, he being one of them. I really like ebay and if you consider 2 problems out of 131 purchases than i guess thats not too bad. Maybe he'll come through, we'll see, but the other idiot i filed fraud charges against her.

it just makes no sense that this guy would have this attitude towards this forum when you consider he sells 67-72 chevy parts to make a living (??) why in the world would he burn the hands of those who feed him

Dont laugh so quick. I had an ebay deal go sour & a forum member personally picked it up & shipped it to me. I was WAY impressed with that...

Read about it here...

His feedback is not all that bad.

I am a business guy. I understand cusatomer service. When I send an invoice to a customer (and they pay in advance for my work) they can certainly expect great customer service for $180 an hour.

I do not do retail but if I did 97% satisfaction rate is dang good. I am not defending him becasue I cannot certainly diminish anyone's bad experience with him.

I think his bigger issue is that he may not actually have some parts on hand as he is listing them. Many people do the same thing as drop shipping is pretty popular. He is just not very good at that part 100%...and it bites him.

And his bigger issue is his command of the english language. He always seems defensive. I mean...crap happens. If I make a mistake in my business I give money back...sometimes even hundreds of dollars...or I give some extra free service. I think he is afraid of giving money back. He takes the short cut of defensiveness. He has taken blame on one negative feedback item. Not enough in my book.

I also read the sticky...and again he seems to let greed for a few pennies get in the way of actually running a dang good business. I wish him luck as he needs it...he will hurt himself more than we can.

Boise69...I support the vendors on the board as much as I can. There is one fellow on ebay I really like...he is responsive, reasonable and ships fast. I mentioned to him he should come here if he does not know about it. I think he is out of Mesa AZ.

Tim

Someone should leave him feedback showing the link to this forum that discloses all about him. When he messed me around he was just starting out and he was still a member of this board. When ebayers learn of this link then it alerts more of his crookedness.

Timcos I comend you for pointing out the other side and youre right its easier to criticize then to defend and being in business certainly can be hard. but ... communication is key and all i asked was when can i expect my parts, and his reply was "when UPS delivers them to you" is this the best answer to that question? So you're right, he probably doesn't have the part and he's scrambling to get it. Thats okay, just tell me when i can expect it so i can plan my install. Thats all.

I agree wholeheartedly...communication is key.

Setting expectations properly is a must.

In business my motto is..."underpromise and overdeliver".
