I was just thinking

So if i was to get a whole new tub for my 69 blazer could i keep the same title even tho i changed the whole tub or what would i have to do? just a thought

Depends on the state. You could transfer the vin plate from your old tub.

You can buy the original rivets from some vendors, you just have to hunt around.

In most states swapping vins is called title washing and illegal and will come with a all expense paid vacation courtesy of the state if caught. Check with your local DMV before you do anything to keep yourself out of trouble

VIN is located on driver's side door jamb and on SPID label in glovebox. Here in California, the tub VIN is checked against the frame VIN. If the two don't match, the DMV refers you to the CHP (CA Highway Patrol) where your rig gets a "VIN verification" inspection. If the inspector is an understanding person, they will issue you a new VIN plate for the tub which matches the VIN on the frame (attach it with their own special rivets), and take the old VIN off. If the inspector is a jerk, you could end up with a vehicle with no title. I went through this process successfully with a 1979 Jeep CJ7 recently. Good luck!

so should i have to worry? what i did is cut in front of the bed and replaced the whole front end, i cut below the vin on the door jams and im keepin the original frame, the only this is that my original glove box doesn't have a vin sticker or its completely gone

I wouldn't worry about the SPID in the glovebox.If you have a phillips screwdriver and a few mins(if you stop for a beer) you can change the GB door.If you skip the beer you might do it in under a min.So that # isn't much for a legal ID anyway.

When I brought my truck into California, the DMV cared quite a lot about the VIN in the glove box because it matched the one on the door jamb. On the VIN verification form it specifically asks if you have two matching VIN number sources on the truck. I pointed out the two out on the jamb and glove box and that is all they needed to see (didn't need to have CHP find the frame VIN since the ntwo on the tub matched). Just my $0.02.
