OT Need help on my scout head
I got a new head for my scout and bolted it on and low and behold the pistons hit the head. There is about an 1/8" difference in the circumference in the combustion chambers between the old head and the new one. Can I just carve this out with a die grinder or should I look for another head?
Keep in mind it took a lot of work to even get this head, and there are about a thousand slightly different castings. Some castings have smaller runners, smaller valves, smaller combustion chamers, or any combination of those. BTW this is a slant four 196ci on my '67 scout 800. Thanks for the help.
