Re: 'this one's been sittin' awhile

It must have a big block in it. Look how far back that HEI distributor cap sits!!!
From the looks of the cassette deck (Alpine maybe???) I would say it was driven sometime in the mid 90s.

This one's kind of important to see too...Don't know where it lived, but not around here, we don't usually get that much rust.

Re: 'this one's been sittin' awhile

If it spent time by the Pacific it could have that rust.I`ve seen some rusty Califirnia beach trucks.Salt air is a killer.Looks like a spare door in the back.Is that a single top?I`ve never seen that top molding.

We lived in San Diego and my wifes car sat down by the harbor every day she worked and the salt air worked it magic on it. It started to rust out in less than a year.

I agree. That rust on top of the fender and at the hood brace are telltale salt air rust areas. We don`t get rust in those areas back east, except by the ocean.I bought a truck from San Diego that sat at a service station. The roof gutter, top roll of the front bed panel, whole bottom of tailgate, were rusted. But,the bottom of the cab was as nice as any California truck. The thing was fadede and had surface rust all over.
Great parts Blazer and maybe very restorable. The typical areas could be fine.

Re: 'this one's been sittin' awhile

About ten years ago I found a 68CST shortbed for $1600 in the local PhotoAd. It was down in Nipomo Mesa which is just north of Santa Maria. My wife and I ran right down there to see it (wouldnt you?) It was an original CST with buckets factory air, tach and Big Block! It was so rusted that even the drip rails were completely gone..., I wanted to cry. I think I would have bought it anyhow if it were today, but you would have needed everthing.. and I mean Everything to restore it. Thats why I live twenty miles from the beach, I love my rides too much to let that happen.
