k5 blazer vs k10 truck suspension

Just curious how the two suspensions compare, are the spring lengths/load ratings the same? what are the differances. The reason I ask is i have a 69 blazer that runs great but the body is not salvageable and I have a 68 1/2 ton swb 2wd truck so I'm considering converting the truck to 4wd and selling is suspension (5 lug with disc brakes and coil spring)

Thanks,
David

Re: k5 blazer vs k10 truck suspension

sounds like the front suspension will work fine since your going from a 2wd to a 4wd. just make sure to line everything up, measure and then re-measure again. hahah

rear suspension should work fine also. depending on what your using (block, add a leaf, full spring) should work.
i swapped a 6" kit from my 69 k25 (with 52" rear leafs) over to my 71 k5 with no problems.

Re: k5 blazer vs k10 truck suspension

any other thoughts in regards to spring rate? would a k5 be the same leaf springs as a k10? also is the distance between mounting points the same on the leafs so truck springs could be used?

thanks,
David
