Factory paperwork under carpet?

Doing a seat swap in my 69 (there will be a thread on it later) and saw a corner of paper sticking out from the carpet. Here is what i found taped to the high hump center. Not quite sure what the purpose is, anyone verify what it is? The circled code is not on the spid. I also took a pic of the seat tag underneath.

Re: Factory paperwork under carpet?

It looks like the call number for the seat cushion. I parted a truck that still had the carpet tag under the old carpet made in knoxville tenn. complete with GM part number and initials from quality control. Truck is gone but I still have the tag. Also found a slip of paper under the original dash pad with a part number and inspected by and the persons initials. It is a cool find to discover the little bits and pieces that put the vehicles history together.

Z62-Custom Comf & Conv. That's a neat little trinket. It's in great shape, too. I've found some of the little things 71 super mentioned but don't recall any like that. I have found build sheets in the darnedest places, like the front side of the front bed panel!

Re: Factory paperwork under carpet?

I just pulled the buckets from my camper and found an original carpet tag also. I will add a pic later.
No one else has seen one like pic #1?
