What is this and where does it go?

Can't remember where this goes or what it is for, but I think it goes on the engine somewhere. 69 C-20 Longhorn, 396, SM 465. I'm sure someone can
help me out
Thanks Greg

Right on, where did you place it? I pulled one of my truck a quarter century ago. Best I can come up with is the 2nd lower bolt hole from the front on the RH valve cover.

Re: What is this and where does it go?

I have a picture of it on the rear lower valve cover bolt on Drivers side. Not sure that is correct though, but that's where mine was.

My first instinct was that's exactly where it goes. But I can't make sense of it. Seems it would take two wires. By the looks of this placement, it appears just one wire, routed from behind the valve cover. I know the old wires were pretty thin, maybe it retains just one?

Re: What is this and where does it go?

That's the location my pic shows. Yes I agree, pretty small openings for the wire. I think just the one wire also. I am going to try to find some small grommets to slip in the openings to help protect the wire but probably not enough room for them and the wire both.
