Tilt Column from burned truck
This column is an original truck column that was in the truck I was driving when it caught fire on the Interstate.
The tilt works, but the fire melted the aluminum housing. Thought somebody might have the parts needed to make it whole. 40.00 plus shipping |

Re: Tilt Column from burned truck
This is a good ballpark. I have shipped columns in the past as well.

Re: Tilt Column from burned truck
It was working a couple years ago, but I didn't specifically check it yesterday. I'm going to where it is on Saturday and will check it then to make certain. I'll get back with you over the weekend or Monday. You're first in line.

Re: Tilt Column from burned truck
OK, the tilt appears to be OK, but when I had it in my hands and looked closer, the shaft doesn't turn. I assume it got hot, melted the grease out and then rusted, because after the fire it turned just fine.
I think that's about all I can tell you about it, but if you have more questions, please ask. Thanks, Dirk |

Re: Tilt Column from burned truck
Les, go ahead of me, i was just going save it as a back up. You probably need it to sell a tilt, putting another one in service. Good luck, i hope it works for you

Re: Tilt Column from burned truck
OK, it looks like it's available. If you want it let me know. I told Jaros44sr that if it isn't usable I would credit the 40.00 and you would just be out the shipping. Mutual trust, that's what is so nice about dealing here. I make the same offer to you or anybody.
