No power to cab issue. Please read
Alright so got a 1985 k-10 w/ 350. I replaced the starter in the truck and went to go turn the key over after wards, had power to dash, locks, etc. lost all power after turning key to off. Traced down the fusible link by junction box fixed it right, wrong. Kept blowing fuses. So grounding issue you would think. Checked my wiring replaced a few wires that had been melted/ just old. Replaced all fusible links with actual fuses. Got the engine to fire. It wouldn’t rev passed idle. Does have electric choke. Couldn’t figure that out. Turned the truck off now I have no power to cab and all fusible links that I found have current/ voltage behind the fuse…. I’m dumbfounded. Thought about adding a ground to the firewall if the fusible link by junction box. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
