Pic Request - TH350 linkage - column to tranny
Does anyone have access to a TH350 linkage that they can post a pic? Off the truck would be GREAT!
Also, if you have this linkage, could you measure the linkage from the column mount to the shift lever ... center of hole to center of hole? Many Thanks! |

Re: Pic Request - TH350 linkage - column to tranny
This is the only pic I have on file, and I dont have the camera at the moment to take more. The rod on mine was spliced together with a threaded pipe nipple ( thanks PO) I made a new one after getting rough measurements with the lever in P and the tranny in Park, and then added an inch or so for adjustment.
Bob The black wire you see is just an old ground wire laying across the tranny.

Re: Pic Request - TH350 linkage - column to tranny
Thanks Bob D ... I was hoping for an original type linkage if anyone has one that is available for pics.
I have purchased a Lokar linkage kit and by rough measuring and "eyeballing" it looks to be short. I don't want to open it up and assemble to find out it's too short. It came in a shrink-wrap/laminated type package and if it's open they won't take it back. I wanted to see a pic to see if the linkage has any curves made into it or is it a straight piece and the measurement on the linkage will tell me if the Lokar linkage kit will work. Thanks! |

Re: Pic Request - TH350 linkage - column to tranny
I did not know if you have a 2wd or a 4wd so I took a picture of both and measured them from pivot to pivot. (Of course the upper pivot is adjustable).
Measurements were made to the middle of the adjustment diameter on the upper end. The 4x4 measures 22 1/2" and has curves. The 2wd measures 20 1/2" and is almost straight. Jim
