292 inline 6 and manual 3-speed trans

Currently in my 1968 Chevy C10 this 292 inline six cylinder engine has a 3-speed manual transmission attached to it. Both are for sale together or separate. This truck sat for 11 years until I bought it about 6 months ago. I was told it ran great when it was parked due to suspension issues. It has new plugs, new wires, new HEI distributor (w/new coil), a rebuild carb, new fuel pump, new starter, and new fuel lines. It runs at idle but backfires out of the carb and quits with thottle. I'm thinking it's either a bad cam, vacuum leak, or a stuck valve.

As far as the transmission's condition, I was able to put it in 1st gear and idle it up and down the street about 300 feet. Otherwise it's condition is unknown because I've never had it runnuing good enough to drive through the gears. make me an offer.
