Replacing Dash Vents And Hoses - Best Source?

The Mrs. wants to redo the hoses and dash vents in her truck. There is some mouse damage and a lot that needs to be cleaned up. I see vent balls go for $8 from LMC and $24 from Classic Industries for the GM repro stuff. Any thoughts on where to by? Its not going to be a show truck - just want decent stuff that fits.

Thanks

Derek.-

Take a close look at the picture of the balls - the correct ones have black paint accents inside. Cheaper repros don't. You may not care for your purposes.

The repro heater vents are fine, they're just too shiny, so I give them a quick shot in the sand blaster on low pressure to give them a little texture. But again, if it's not a show truck, you'll be happy with them anyway.

The reproduction tubes and vents are actually a lot easier to work with. Wear gloves though, the tubes are fibreglass I think.

Make sure you glue the felts into place in the AC ball housing. The adhesive backing they give is you is useless.
