1968-72 Restored Vent Windows in Black Trim

12/16/21 - Just completed 2 sets . One has clear glass with a black knob. The other has new tinted glass.

Up for sale are several pair of restored Vent Window Assemblies in Black Trim that will fit 1968-72 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups, Blazers and Suburbans.

The rebuild includes a complete disassembly and inspection for worn or broken parts which are replaced.

This is followed by cleaning and polishing all the SS trim. We use high quality parts in the restoration from Classic Parts of America.

We replace all the window weatherstripping using the correct rivets, reline the vertical division bar, and replace both handles with new ones.
At the top and bottom I use pop rivets for 2 reasons. The first it is a tighter fit, and we have the clearance for fitment.

The tinted auto safety glass is new as well. I may have some very nice original glass with some very small scratches if anyone is interested.

All the black trim has been power coated with a black gloss
finish.
This is a high quality restoration and far superior to the reproductions that are currently on the market.

Price is $600.00 plus shipping via UPS which runs from $22.00 to $35.00 with insurance.

Please email with any questions or need additional pictures.

I accept checks and PayPal.

I have another post of Chrome Vent Windows for sale. See http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=576998.

I can do yours. If I use your clear glass you will save $30.00. Based on what your vent windows need you will save another $20.00 - $40.00 per set. Let me know.

Is there an economical way to ship a set to you? I would like to have a set of your restored ones but have 2 sets just sitting in my garage. Would rather them be used then be garbge.

There's no economical way to ship them. Try UPS or maybe FedEx. I can do yours if you want. I buy cores locally and pay from $5.00 to $10.00 each. Condition determines what I pay for them. Most of the time we pitch the glass because it is scratch. About 30% of the Stainless Steel bead on the vertical channel is dinged so I pitch them. So its hard to find a perfect set to restore. Plus we spend a lot of time pulling them apart to get what parts are good enough to use.

Let me know what you decide. I have one black set with new clear glass done and ready to ship.

Say goodbye to that pesky pitting of the chrome! Nice work, indeed.

I can do yours or I have a set down ready for shipping.

Shipping via UPS is the most reasonable.

Ship to 6975 Mize RD, Shawnee, KS 66226.

Re: 1968-72 Restored Vent Windows in Black Trim

Hello Roger,

I also have my original two black window vents that need to be rebuilt for my 72 Blazer restoration. I would like you to use the original clear glass, and I just purchased some NOS window vent seal from another board member for this project. Also, would you be re-chroming the original knob?

Can you help me out?

Thanks,
Lee

I can restore them. You'll save the cost of window vent seal and glass.

I use reproduction knob because they are a high quality part. You can not tell them from original. I can have my plater chrome them but the cost runs over $40.00 per handle. Twice the price. It's really not worth it.

Re: 1968-72 Restored Vent Windows in Black Trim

Roger,

What is the turn around time on a set of black soft Ray vent windows if I sent you mine?

My soft Ray glass looks good and doesn't appear to have any noticeable scratches. I would like the frames to be satin black, I'm not sure how glossy you normally have them powder coated.

Thank you,

Bob
