Need Pricing info "Slow build" is going!

Not for sale yet so don't post asking please!

Ok here is the thing I have way to many projects to get to so I figure it is time to get rid of a few. Problem is I have no idea of what to ask so please help with pricing info.

The truck is "Project Slow Buld" a 71 swb C10 bagged and body dropped truck. It is not in running order but has had tons of work done to it and is not that far off from completion. I just don't have the time or drive for this one any more. It was started over 8yrs ago and I have just lost interest.

The cab is now rust free and has new rockers (inners and outers) and cab corners. It has been body droped 2" for a lower ride heigth while still keeping corect steering geomatry. The rest of the body is in great shape and would just need to be sanded and painted (it is that good). I mounted a good set of buckets seats by fabbing new floor mounts that are reinforced from under the cab. The bottom of the cab has been seam sealed and under coated so it is ready to go. The frame has been Z'd behind the cab 4" and both frame ends have been adjusted for the 2" body drop so the bumper line back up. The bed floor has been sectioned 6" (see pic) to allow for body and frame mods. I had a SS fuel tank built by Fat Man fabrication's that is set up for the frame steps as well as an in tank fuel pump with baffels for a EFI motor.
Suspension up front has 3" Bell tech drop spindles, ECE disk brakes, big sway bar and ART's bags. The rear has ART's bags, ECE shock relocator as well as their adjustable panard bar. The rear end is a fully rebuilt 5 lug 12 bolt with 3:43's and an Eaton Posi that has never seen the road. The motor is a crate 350 with under 6K miles in it and a great working turbo 350. Tires are the same as what comes on the Vipper, 335/35/17's out back and 240/40/17's up front. The rims are custom built 17" vett style ralleys that are 11" in the rear and 8" in the front with the correct back spacing but I do not recall just what it was. I also have I think every part bagged and taged for this truck so their is not alot of stuff to buy in order to finish it up. I am sure I have forgotten alot but this should give a good starting point.

Here is a small list of the hard cost items items.
SS.fuel cell with intank pump $1300
17" rims $550
tires $1400
12 bolt $1200
Drop spindles $200
Disk set up $500
Shock relocater $60
super track bar kit $110

I am thinking in the neighbor hood of $4500 as is. What are your thoughts?
Here are a fe pic's

My thoughts as well. I have been given some great deals over the years (LOW BUCK) and thought I would pass one on and sell it faster once it goes for sale.

I have side and rear glass, complete dash (A/C dash) minus heater a/c unit. It is set up for a vintage air. I do not have door panels or carpet, they were used in another project.

I personally think it's a little low. I know you can't get paid for the hours you have in it and I don't know what you have for parts to finish it (wiring, etc) but you need to re-think the bottom line.....

Just my 2.

Hey Kevin,... If you somehow end up selling without the wheels,... send me a PM. I might be interested in JUST the wheels and tires. Thanks, Lolife99.

Re: Need Pricing info "Slow build" is going!

Well that is why I am asking for info. Tell me what you think would be a fair price for all involved. I do have an aftermarket style 12 circut harness, viper alarm and like I said every nut and bolt is bagged and tagged as it came apart. I bought this truck as a complete runner 9yrs ago for 7K and before I knew it I had it down to a bare frame. I have moved this truck 3 times in the past 7yrs and have just gotted burt out on it. It really would be a bad A$$ truck finished and great metal to work with is the number one thing when building a nice ride.
If I were to guess at how many hours I have in this it might look like this.

Frame 20-30hrs
Cab repair 20hrs
cab body drop 40hrs
bed body drop and floor lift 30hrs (5hrs of welding left for new owner)

thats 110 hrs on the low side just for straite body mods not including all the misc stuff. So even at a cheap shop rate of $50 an hr thats another $5100 with out any parts or even the truck! So lets hear what I should ask to be fair to both partys. I want it to stay here if and WHEN I list it so help me/us out.

Thanks Kevin

Re: Need Pricing info "Slow build" is going!

Rockrin it sounds to me and i may be wrong like you've lost interest in it and wanna move it...well tha price shoud get it done...now if you wanna make some money off of it (and it's certainly worth it) sounds like you need to double the price...

Re: Need Pricing info "Slow build" is going!

If I was in the market I would give 4500 for it, but that would be tops for me. I wouldn't pay the double it price thats for sure. The one thing you have going here is everyone on this board knows your work is above top notch. Once you cross over into the 5k area thats where I balk, unless its a car Ive been just dying to own, and these trucks still arent that rare.

Selling projects is tough. Ive never gotten back what I have into a project I haven't finished up. You will probably be able to get more than I will give. Forgot to add, if you sell it out of state there is the cost of moving it too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see $6500 out of it. Rust free with all those mods. Too bad you aren't including the LT1, but I can't blame ya.
