Blazer gas tank

Would a mid 80's 31 gal gas tank fit inbetween the framerails of a 1965 lwb truck? I think I can fit and hang alittle low but I wanted to get opinions before I try and buy the one in the 67-72 classifeds. Thanks in advance
Scott

OK since I am afew hours away from my '65. I was wondering if someone could measure the back end of their frame and see if a blazer gas tank that is 27 inches wide could fit. Thanks
