Throttle Cable conversion

Has anyone converted to a cable set up from a 71-72 or 73-87 GM truck? I'd like to do this on my 65. I have a few parts trucks around that I could get parts from. Don't really want to use the lokar if I can help it. I'd keep the factory linkage, but converting to a 6.2 Diesel and need a cable of some kind to operate the injector pump.

Thanks,
Keith

I haven't done it on mine but we swapped out my bro's 69, was pretty easy. We used all used stuff from a 72 GMC. Pretty straightforward, 3 holes to mount pedal assy w/three 1/4 inch bolts, then a hole for cable to pass thru, we made ours square w/small die grinder. Toughest thing was finding a comfy spot to mount. Brian.
