What color?
Is chevrolet orange the correct color for a 65 283 engine.

I'm not positive,but I think the 65' 283 truck engine was either a dark blue or black,maybe someone else knows for sure.Pretty sure the car 283's were orange,we had a 63' Impala a long time ago,and I remember the orange 283.I have a 1965 truck owner's manual at home,I beleive it has the engine colors in it.I'll try to remember to check it tonight.

V8 was gray in 64-66 trucks. It tells this on one of the back pages in the owner's manual. Supposed to be a dark grayish blue color.
