Quality versus Price? You be the Judge.

I have now have the metal 72 door panel inserts for 85.00 a pair they are the EXACT same ones that other vendors are selling for 123.95 a pair. This is just another example of how we are Truely commited to offering the best parts available for the LOWEST possible price.

FYI,

In The next 30 - 45 days I will have the clear deluxe side markers w/ the colored bulbs for 35.00 (for a set of 4 with the bulbs).

It's all good

I get this weekend off, then it's off to the SEMA show in Vegas when we get back we get Half a weekend off, then the next weekend it's time to turn around and head back to Tucson.

Gotta love swap meet season.

My question is this, Do you have any contact with the people making these?
I would like to see these with the window crank hole deleted. I would like to install electric windows and do not want the hole.
Would there be a market for them and would they do it on a small run to try?
Maybe even stamp a rectangular hole and sell a kit for door locks and windows. Just wondering.

modify

I doubt there is very much that could be done to have the manufacturer make any changes to them, reason being is it would require them to set up new tooling to not punch the hole and new stamps would be needed to remove the raised edge around the hole (where the plastic eschutcion sits).

I would have to say at my level I couldn't do anything about it.

Talking

I don't even have them listed in my Catalog! But again I am a Poor Boy selling truck parts. I do not have the money to buy 100 of them at a time. But again I started this bussiness on my own did not get no help from anyone. But do THANK God and all the board members for making my first year in bussiness a very successful one!

To all of you 67-72 vendors.

I have purchased parts or at least called you on one occasion or the other.
I'm in this hobby or Madness ( whatever you wish to call it) for relaxation and enjoyment. What the price of parts that you sell, is dependant on how much I can do and how far I can go with my toy. If ya'll want to make the big buck per sale. while Rick and Shawn are willing to lower their prices and sell more quantity. Then I understand And that's your perogative, But I have purchased from Shawn, He's very informative and more then willing to work with his customers, ( Now I'm not saying none of the rest of you aren't)But with his Knowledge, friendliness, and customer service, and the fact that he is "THE FIRST" of all of the vendors that has offered a Board special price section. I know where my money will go, as long as he has what I need.

By the way Shawn, I haven't forgotten about the Rubber radiator mounts I e-mailed you about, After I bought the Alpine CD receiver i just purchased, I'm strapped for bucks until I can get a couple of the clocks Delivered I've repaired.

Oh yea, I also do vending to the public, it's how I support my bad habits. Radio Control models( toys) and this truck. And I do a service equal to anyones, at a lesser price.

Shawn and I talked about these panels a few weeks ago, when I ordered the Shoulder belts and lap belt from him, He didn't want to get into a Pi$$ing match with any of you Vendors, about quality and pricing. I don't see it as a pi$$ing match,,, I see it as good business for him, and competitive pricing for we buyers.

Thanks for thinking of we buyers Shawn !!!!!!

There are a bunch of good vendors on this board period. When I first read this post I thought it might lead to some of this. I think the vendors need to stick to posting what they have, and do away with the "advertisment" in their post. This is nothing against Shawn, but if I was one of the many vendors on the board I would be a little set back by the original post. Im sure Shawn didn't mean it to be this way.

Besides, there is rule 7:

7) No Spamming or Advertising on ANY 67-72Chevytrucks.com board, regards
to any product(s) your pushing, unless you’re a paid advertiser, or have
had the administrators approval! This guideline is for all Companies and
Individuals, using our site to advertise their site of choice or trying to make
money off the members!

I think this might be the reason Josh has this rule. So lets keep it to the point, so everyone can be happy.

I think our 100% money back including shipping speaks for our quality.

Hey Guys, Here is my two cents worth: I really enjoy restoring 67-72 Chevy Trucks. There are many things I consider when I purchase parts through the web or mailorder. They are customer service, immediate availability of parts, other members experiences. One last thing I consider when placing an order is the location of the vendor. Let's face it, shipping is getting very expensive. I check prices just like everyone else. Let's say a vendor in New York sells a rear bumper for $15.00 less than A vendor on the west coast. I live in Nevada. Any savings on the bumper would be eaten up on shipping costs. Not to mention the eight days it would take to get here. Fact:the longer UPS has your package, the more they will damage it. I have excellent dealings with shawn. He has never let me down. There is another dealer in Orange California(Bativa Street)I won't mention the name . They are closer to me than Shawn and they often beat everyone's prices. I will never do business with them again. Poor customer service before and after the sale. Not to mention the attitude they have towards their customers at swapmeets. I have seen them standing behind the counter ignoring people. Two years ago, my son went to the Hot August Nights swapmeet. I gave him $2700.00 and a long list of parts to buy. He came home empty handed saying he tried to get the salespersons attention. None of the salespeople were helping any customers. They spent their time bullsh*tting with each other in the shade. I went up to the swapmeet the next day......Same thing going on so I spent my money elsewhere. Most of the dealers I have dealt with are really into these trucks. Most of them started selling to support their hobby. I have not had the chance to buy from Tim or Mothertruckers. I have learned something about them though, it sounds like they deliver what they promise at a fair price and like the rest of us, love to talk about old trucks...Just like Shawn does. I wish all of you good luck with your business venture. It's great to have lots of dealers to choose from. I remember the old days when you had to search and settle for the best used part you could find. Because there were no dealers that sold parts for 67-72's. Starting a business from scratch is a very difficult and sometimes risky thing to do. I give all of the dealers credit that had the balls to take the risk and sell parts for a living. Thanks to all of you for providing the parts that keep this hobby alive..Greg

Hey Guys I did not mean anything by post. I was only saying that I am a small parts dealer and very hard for me to compete with the big guys. I do try hard to make every customer happy. I just do this part time. I am a mechanic for TRW and I raise beef cattle also. On top of all this I am raising 4-kids. The money I do make off my bussiness I am paying for a Dually(95 model) and my parts trailer so I can do shows. I Love getting out and meeting the truck nuts like myself. Anyway I have the very most resepect for every vendor on this board. I hope one day maybe I can do it full time but I know God will lead me were he wants me and I am happy with that. I really Love this board. I feel like I have been here for ever! Shawn keep up the good work but sometime when you sorta throw off on other vendors they take it personal. 68 Suburban said it best in his post. Good night and God Bless, Tim

Keep up the good work Tim. One question for you: when do you get the time to sleep? Looks like you have a full plate. I wish you lots of luck with your business....Greg
