Whats the difference?

I need a brake booster for my 70 chevy and my disk brakes. When you go to the auto parts they ask if its delco or remy? Will either work and whats the difference? I noticed the 71-72 master cylinders look like some have two hold downs for the lid and some on hold down. I ordered a 72 master cylinder+booster combo. Hope it will work.....

Re: Whats the difference?

You sure you're not looking at a drum brake MC? (70 or earlier) Drum MC's have one hold down wire and a small reservoir and a Disk/drum MC has two wire hold downs and a taller reservoir.

Re: Whats the difference?

If it has two hold down clamps its a Morraine MC
One hold down its a Bendix MC

both can be for drum or power Just depends on who made it.

You should not have a problem

Sure. The booster does not care if its a disc or drum brakes

your master cylinder has 1 1.1/8 bore 1/2"x10 left front connection
9/16"x18 right and a 1.59 push rod depth.
