Re: Poll...what or who lead you to this site?
Oddly enough, I was searching for parts waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in high school in 1999, and stumbled upon the site. I went to college, parked the truck at my parents house and "forgot about it" for a few years. I started looking for parts and found the site again around 2003 and was a guest for a about a year before I decided to join.

Re: Poll...what or who lead you to this site?
Surfing the net after I caught the fever, and the rest is history.
I'll say this... I wasn't on the net as much until I found this site. Great thread 70cst! I had viewed the board several months before I even joined and started posting.

Re: Poll...what or who lead you to this site?
I typed something along the lines of "67-72 Chevy Trucks" into Google, which pulled up this website in the first page and I signed right up. I just tried it again and it's right at the top of the list.
At the time I signed up there was another forum that came up in google's list. I signed up for it too but this one was clearly the better attended forum and so I stuck with it. I just searched for the other one and apparently it doesn't exist any more.

A total stranger (Livrat) showed up at my work place and told me.

Any queries I googled about these trucks were answered with a post from this site, so I skipped the google-man.

I asked a dude on Ebay if he had some parts I was looking for. He didn't, but he turned me on to this website and I have been on it ever since.

Re: Poll...what or who lead you to this site?
When I first got my truck I knew to look for a model specific forum and Google led me here. Anyone that has built or modified a car since the birth of the Internet should know there is a forum out there somewhere!

Re: Poll...what or who lead you to this site?
lol my truck told me good one!
found it searching for 68 chevy truck pictures or somethign like that. dad was talking me into buying my truck and i was like nahh i wanna jap 4x4 truck. googled and saw how sweet these things are and went and offered him 1500 on a 2500 truck. next day he said yes when i stopped by again (pretty much my neighbor) lives a few miles down the road. Got it home learned to drive it. drove my parents around (divorced but still let me drive them around w/o licence lol). came back washed it tried waxing the 'original paint' dad said LOL noppeee not even close to original. slowly started buying parts. a drum brake rebuild turned into a ' buy another truck for disc brake stuff and rebuild frontend' then a leaky gas line turned into a tank conversion lol...it snowballs and takes all my money. its fun thoguh
