White walls on a square body

What is everyone's opinion on white walls on square bodies? Specifically the round headlight models. Any variety. Thin, thick, riding on a cloud...

I am debating between whitewalls and some classic BFG radials w/RWL. I know the price difference is a no-brainer (2x for whitewalls), but there is something I like about the thin whitewall on these trucks.

I like raised white letters, but at this point in time only the BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. I like the look of the old Firestone and Goodyear raised white letter tires, but they have been long discontinued.

yea i enjoy the look of the older discontinued brands as well, currently i am running Radial T/A's with RWL and im in no hurry to change it up...however i love me some wide whites, im a sucker for lowered trucks so id say as long as its lowered you could pull it off lol

It's really hard to pull off anything more than the thin wide whites on these trucks. Era swapping must be done delicately.

I think thin to medium stripe whitewalls look sharp on the '73-'80 trucks, especially with the factory Rally Wheels. I never understood why guys that paint stripes on their trucks/cars think whitewalls look stupid.

If I could afford them in the larger tire size, I'd run them.

Thin stripes with base model steel wheels and poverty caps. looks good on any round eye lowered, but espescially two-tone.

Personal choice, as I have these on my 1982 C10, are the Cooper Cobra Radial G/T RWL.

there is a way to get white wall and keep the cost down if you can find some one in your area that does it

I've done this to 5 sets of tires, never had any issues or problems you can buy any tires that has white letters and cut them out to be white walls here in chicago I know over 50+ guys who done this NO one had a blow out or any thing only reason I done 5 set was I wore the tires down to nothing on 3 different trucks I've towed, hauled weight & etc

search youtube for "gypsy trucks whitewalls" and you'll be amazed at what you see lol 95% of the late model 17" wheels with whitewalls was all cut out

I had these cut out they was raised white letter on 17" craiger s/s mags

That was my thought. I am going to run the rallys and eventually have a 4/6. That being said, I am torn between the "muscle" look of RWL and the "hot rod/cruising" look of white walls. The round lights ride that line.

If sanding the sidewalls is an option, I guess I could just get RWL radials and grind some whitewalls later if I see fit.
