Back space and static ride height
Went to a 19x8.5 w a 4.75 bs
From a 15x8 with 3.75 bs Seems like it raised the ride height a little bit. And some positive camber gain from the height change.

Re: Back space and static ride height
Ride height could change depending on tire height.
What tires on each are you using? |

The distance from hub cap to fender increased a bit. Like 1/2-3/4 of an inch. Enough to change alignment Tire was chosen to keep that the same.

Re: Back space and static ride height
I do not see any way possible that switching wheels and tires would affect center of wheel to fender dimension. Take that back, as I was typing I thought you might have short drop springs and when suspension was at full droop the springs became dislodged from their seats.

Re: Back space and static ride height
Less backspace less leverage on the spindle is what I am leaning towards.
Coils are seated in the A arm. Just really surprised me when it was a hair taller.

Re: Back space and static ride height
I find it odd as well.
I'd be curious of weight differences before concluding it's soley on the leverage difference.

Re: Back space and static ride height
I'm not sure how I'd measure the difference.
But with a 2 coils clipped, the camber gain is what got my attention. I trimmed the bottom of the coil a bit to get it back where I like it. But playing with ride height has got me down a new rabbit hole. Some K5 parts might find a new home under it. My boy's been so busy with customers stuff the k5 hasn't been doing much

Re: Back space and static ride height
I like the look after you cut the coil. I'd be curious to know how much coil drop you have now. On my old truck, I had cut coils equating to 4" of drop and it was too much. My upper ball joints were maxed out in angle. If the springs work for you like that, hopefully you can recover your proper camber. On mine, I have 3" springs now and I had to max out my camber adjustment just to get it to within 1 degree negative camber.

Re: Back space and static ride height
Coil was out. Sitting on a 2x4 It's probably maxed out there.
We have some choppin block arms and spindles for another project that may get poached.
