Wheel decision need some input

Looking at the Vision rally 15x7 front with 15x8 rears with center caps ,trim rings and new lug nuts price comes in at $700 before tax with Free shipping .

Also like the Us Mags Indy same sizes the come in at $897 with center caps no lug nuts

Both are 6 lug for my 68 both have the old school look that I’m looking for

Been going back and forth for a few days .

I like the rallys. I do really like slot mags too but prefer them on unrestored, kinda ratty builds especially cars.

Re: Wheel decision need some input

I think the US Indy Mags are more old school look than rallys. Might even consider finding an old set that needs polishing to give it even more of a vintage look, home polish them.

But I like the rallys too =)

Okay Mark

With only 2 Choices

My vote is for the Rally wheels.

The slotted wheels have Cheap looked (Not the Era Center caps).

Just my opinion.

Re: Wheel decision need some input

I prefer the car rallys on cars, truck rallys on trucks.

Those U.S. mags are the best looking aluminum slot wheels, period.
I had a set on another car, way back. They look better, have the best center caps, and will clean up better than any other aluminum slot wheel.

Changing my vote to the slot mags as well. Maybe dirty them up a little though haha.

Re: Wheel decision need some input

I’m leaning towards the US mag . I have a set of square 5x5 lug 15x7 and 15x8 truck rallies all restored with trim rings and center caps if I decide later on I can do the 5 lug conversion .

When I get my 68 Golden back on the road, it will be 5 lug. I have a bunch of 8" rallys. 15X8 factory wagon wheels. I like them both...may paint a set of Rallys Gold to match the 68 paint. Theres a wheel thread, here somewhere........Some one painted a set or rallys gold with center caps and trim rings, they looked real sharp!!!

Re: Wheel decision need some input

I ordered the rims yesterday the tires a few days ago since I was decided that either way I was doing 15 inch rims . They both came today on the FedEx truck . Rears are 245/65r15 fronts 215/70r15 more meat out back but nearly identical height Summit is pretty much next day delivery here with their free shipping .

Now white letters or black wall ?

I'm biased, but I love your wheel choice anyway. To answer your question, I would always put white letters out.

I vote for the mags, I’ve thought about running them on my K20 off and on for a long time. Your 68 is going to look great with them.
