LS swap forum?
There are quite a few LS engine swaps going on. There are a few in the 60-66 section, a few in the 67-72 section, and a few more in the 73+ section. I know many don't venture out of their year group much, myself included. I think if we had a dedicated LS swap section it would be easier for those considering the swap to find information. I have a decent LS swap thread and I still see a few questions that could be easily answered in that thread.
I know there is enough similarity in these swaps that they could all be lumped together? So what does everyone think? Mark

Re: LS swap forum?
Is there any reason why LSx topic cant be discussed in the Engine & Drivetrain forum?

Re: LS swap forum?
Probably not (doesn't seem to be working that way now though?) Maybe a sub forum in the engine & drivetrain forum?

Re: LS swap forum?
A Sub Forum in the Engine/Drivetrain forum would be nice. I have been reading as many of the 67-72 build threads that I can about swaps and it just takes a bit more time to sift through them all. Even if guys linked to their build pages in the LS Swap subforum it would save a lot of time for those who are not very good at using the Search tool.

Re: LS swap forum?
start by linking all the ls threads here. If you all link me all the ls threads, I can work with you. If I have to search years of threads to find them to create an area.. it will be a while. We have to many open projects right now.

Re: LS swap forum?
I think an LS swap area would be awesome!
Sorry, I am mildly slow with computer things, so I don't know how to post links.

Re: LS swap forum?
I like the idea of a sub-forum. I would even volunteer to be a mod for that area too, along with Thealien of course!
If I get a chance I can start copying links from the 73-87 section.

Re: LS swap forum?
I'm sure there are more posts than that. The amount here would warrant a FAQ thread, or sticky post, but not a dedicated forum.

Re: LS swap forum?
even though it would be cool to have an LSX forum i think a well writen (truck specific) thread would be better, IE
Engine Mounts then list all the mount out there with links and possibly pics. Headers Then list all the headers with links and pics Wiring links to those that do it based on the options they provide. links to pinouts and wireing diagrams. then maybe a how to Transmission mounts Transmission lengths then links to those that make em. yall get the picture this would help with not having to search through every build thread looking for that one sentence that answers your question.

Re: LS swap forum?
Don't forget oil pans
I'm not sure if the oil pans have to be changed as often the case with many cars. Here is a link about oil pan info http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...-oil-pans.html
