question re dropped spindles

I picked up some spindles at a swapmeet that say "Western" or something like that on them...not sure if they are 2 or 2 1/2 inch drop. They came with 6 lug rotors...

1. How can I measure them to see if its a 2 or 2 1/2 inch drop?

2. Can I use stock tie rods? or do you use the later model tie rod ends?

They should be 2.5" drop spindles.
You will have to figure out what year spindles they are.
Do you even know if they are C10 spindles?
Any idea what they came off of?

What year truck are you trying to put them on?

Re: question re dropped spindles

The ones you posted a picture of are Western Chassis 2.5" drop spindles.
That still doesn't tell you what year they will fit.
Find out what upper ball joint or outer tie rod fits the spindles you bought,...
and you will know if they will work on your truck.

Re: question re dropped spindles

Look for a stamped or raised part number on them...in above pic looks like a part number just hidden under spindle
