what i have is a 72 long wheel base with a stock with rear end for this year. i ordered my wheels. they are 17 x8 with 4.5 backspace for the front and 17x9 with 5.00 bach space for the rear. my question is are they going to tuck up in the fenders front and rear? truck has air ride suspension on it. what size tire would you guys run since i am going to have plenty of room veritcaly i hope. any help would be great

Re: wheel and tire question?
I have 17x9 torq thrust w/ 5.5" BS on my '83 and they sit in pretty far. I'm not sure if our rear ends are the same width though. I added a 1.75" spacer and there is still probably a 1/2 inch of clearance between the fenders and the tires.
I would imagine they will tuck with maybe too much room to spare. I would shoot for a 26" tall tire.
