Stock, Dropped with Ralleys- Is there a name for this look?

I have a background in a bunch of different car scenes and since they were new I always liked the '73-'87 Pickups and Blazers with all the trim, stock colors dropped on Ralleys. I'n NOT talking about "body drops" and phantom grilles, just the classic look that has been around forever. Is there a name for this "look"? Always will be my favorite.

Re: Stock, Dropped with Ralleys- Is there a name for this look?

Help me here. Is there a reason the Blazers always look like the rearend is narrower than the pickups? Compare the Gold truck that NAILS IT in the rear and the Burgundy Blazer that looks like the tire is a little lost. Is it the lowering? Tire size? Wheel width? He said the wheels on the Gold truck are 8-inch- is that right? I thought truck Ralleys (5 lug) were 7-inch, Van Ralleys are 6-inch and 4x4 Ralleys are 8-inch? Am I missing something? Thanks Guys.

I think I read that the white Blazer above has 1.25-inch spacers to push the wheels out.

If I'm not mistaken most of the truck rally wheels are 8 inch mine even came with 10" ones, not sure if they were factory or not. My van had 8" on it.

That gold truck has the best stance I've ever seen! Nailed it for sure. Its one of my favorite trucks on the board!

Re: Stock, Dropped with Ralleys- Is there a name for this look?

5-lug ralley truck wheels come in 15x7 and 15x8.
They van ralley wheels were 15x6.5.
The track width on all of these trucks, (1960-87) were always wider up front.
Drop front springs magnifies the problem.
I usually run 15x7's up front and 15x8's in the back to help mask this issue.
Some people even run the aftermarket 15x10's in the back.
(Wheel Vintiques make them)
I don't think there is an affordable tire for the 15x10's,... except the 295/50's which I think are too short.

This is my old '82 2wd blazer.
I had these same wheels on my '79 2wd blazer.

A ha! Now I need to find some 8-inch Ralleys! My Blazer has 7's all around and I bought some skinny Van Ralleys for the front.

Plenty of Chevys with this look- where are the GMCs at? Love to see a 2-wheel Jimmy dropped on Ralleys!

Like the steelies and caps look too! Mostly see that on '73-'76s.

Front/Rear drop
2" / 2" = lower
2.5" / 4" = drop
4.5"+ / 6" = slam
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=140

Mine is slammed!!

Stock dropped 2" and 4". Spindle dropped so I had ordered disc brakes in front being a 1970 that came with drums all around and wouldn't stop. 2WD
