Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

I just bought some of these wheels used for my 69 C10 and I am waiting for them to arrive and I am pumped. I have been running stock rally's for a while now and wanted to spice it up a little. My question is who has some of the wheels out there with photo's?

Thanks,
KJ69

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

Did you buy them off of ebay?

If so, you're on my chit list! I thought I had them wrapped up but lost track of time. If they don't work out let me know.

Later, Rg

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

I'm not sure what size those are, maybe 18"s.
There was a set of these wheels w/ tires on ebay like 8-9 months ago, and I could swear the guy had this exact truck!
I think they sold for like $800, I almost bought them.

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

Yep, bought them off of ebay with Nitto 555 tires for $815 and $200 for shipping. I knew it was a heck of a deal so I figured what the heck.

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

Yeah, I think the Nittos will prove to be to "short", I believe they were 40 series, but they would work for a while. You got a heck of a deal...

After looking at the blue truck again I would bet those are the same wheels and tires... The sidewall isn't as bad as I would have thought...

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

Yea, they also have some curb rash. I am ok with it due to the price and they should do fine for a driver.

Those wheels look super on your truck. I love the Boyd wheels and hope to get a 17 " set of Boyds Blasters, Gene or Timeless wheels like you have for my truck. I would want new but they are oh so pricey new !!

Angry Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

So guess what! The timeless 6 wheels I purchased won't fit on my truck which sucks. The lug pattern is correct, but the front hub and rear drum is not allowing the wheels to fully seat properly. I was told by the company (Boyd Coddington) I could send the wheels in and they could bore the center out for $25 a piece, but I am also afraid the wheels are offset to the inside too much for my truck as well. The wheels were removed from a 2000 GMC Sierra so I assumed they would fit my old 69. Wrong again!! I shoud have known this great deal wasn't going to work out for me....

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

You could probably get any good machine shop to bore those out for you, then add some wheel spacers and your all set. Cheap is usually not easy.

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

Because they won't fit on a 69, does that mean they won't on say.... a 72 (5 lug)? Not sure if all years hubs and drums are the same.... plus, I'm only about 40 minutes from clayton..... hahahahah

Re: Boyd Coddingtion Timeless Wheels?

Luvleg,

They are 6 lug wheels so I'm afriad they wouldn't work for you if you have 5 lug now. I guess if I intended on selling them I would need to put my $25 in the bucket as a site supporter, huh.

Only if you're selling them here!

It'll be money well spent.
