Lifting a 2wd

The 2wd either need to be lowered of lifted, that being said have any of you lifted one of our series in a 2wd. I have a real clean '70 thats getting a new motor, trans, interior this winter and it rubs/scrapes on a few trail sections in my favorite hunting area. Yep, I've thought of a 4wd but with a posi I have no traction problems. Is it just a matter of finding a longer set of coils for the front and adding a leaf in the back? I like the pre-runner look and since I can see ball joints in my future....
