Heater Question

ok so with winter coming along and having a really cold morning this morning. i'm really starting to get into my heater issues. now i'm just curious if all older blazers have the same issue of the temp being warm from the heater but not hot, or is it just mine? granted it does clear the windshield after a few minutes but thats about it. i really don't notice it getting warmer at all inside. any help would be great

Heaters in these old trucks work great, when they're in 'proper' working order.

Keep in mind that 37 plus years is going to take it's tole.

First thing to check is your t-stat...what temp is it rated for?

Something in the 190/195 range should give you great heat all winter long if the rest of the system is up to par.

ok great i will look into that. if anything i will just save up and do both the thermostat and heater core at the same time. cause knowing the guy who owned this previously and how i've seen he's taken care of this blazer so far, it's never been touched. by the way my rant for the day. how dumb are people when it comes to taking care of cars in general. i just had to drop 400 on a complete brake job all around. i meanevery piece of the brake system plus inner and outer bearings. and come to find out while doing the brake job they must have had to cut out a stuck wheel seal. and they cut the front spindle. errrrr i hate dumb people lol sry for the rant

The whole cowl heater core area could be filled with debris limiting air flow also.

agree with the heater core. But before I went to all that work. (it's not easy) I would check you regulator on the right fenderwell. Make sure you have hot water going through it. They do go out sometimes.
