4x4 Differential question, need quick answer!
Will the ring & pinions from factory 3/4 ton 1968 diffs be the same size as those from a 73-87 style truck? I'm buying differentials from a '79 and was wondering if I could swap the gears over.

No. '72 was the last year GM used the HO52 and the Dana 60. Then came the 14-bolt

Might be a better idea to just use the differentials from the '79, rather than trying to use the gears out of them. Probably a Dana 44 & 14 Bolt FF you're getting?
