Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

Yes I just pulled it from storage. It has some surface rust on it ( I should have primered it but planned on powder coating it so I just threw it in the back of the suburban 2yrs ago) If you want it coated I will have it blasted again.

I will take it primered for $700.00. I can send $350.00 tonight and $350.00 when primered and ready to ship. And I can split shipping cost. If you agree to these terms, send me your paypal contact info.

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

Let me get this straight, the guy offers you $500.00 and your next reply is you are going to have it primered by the end of the weekend. I offer you the full amount of $700.00 primed with a payment of half now, half later only because I don't know you from adam. I have the money to pay now. Then you come back with $600.00 as is. I say , I will take it and will you help with shipping like you offered GMC Longhorn. Then you sell it to GMC Longhorn for $700.00.

I don't know how you do business in Rocky Mount, MO, but I know how we do business in Az. And it is not like that.

Man, that is BS big time.

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

Sorry Landsurvey, GMC LONGHORN was first in line and I want to be fair that way also. I am not sure who or how to sell any of this stuff I really don't want to sell. Sorry if I p'd you off and I am truly sorry and the way you put it that seems like BS to me TOO, but you all seem to be beating me up on price on this and I just need the money. I would never have sold it for 500 or even 600 w/o shipping I guess I was not posting right. Maybe I should send the money back and keep my damn brush guard. You guys figure it out I am tired and sick and going to bed.......

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

In response to land survey, hey I posted an offer to brewski, and went to dinner. When I got back I saw that he didn't accept the initial offer but he said he would help with shipping. My next offer i figured was the 600 plus another 100 bucks for shipping. As far as I'm concerned in this site the buyers get in line. If the first says he passes , then the buyer goes to the second in line. That's how its done. I' m not sure what's your beef, but brewski playing fair . Everybody's in line.

The part has been bought and paid for. It is time to move on.

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

I can see why Landsurvey feels like he got the shaft. Irregardless of what people are thinking or doing off-line, the part is typically sold to the first "I'll take it" offer in the thread, and Landsurvey posted this twice before gmclonghorn came around and upped his offer. This rule of thumb needs to be followed, or someone always feels like they've been screwed. Just my $0.02.

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

If the post says first "I'll take it" then I agree. But this post was not worded that way, in the past it was always first come first serve. Years ago when I joined this board you could not make offers against the price offered except by PM. I feel that should be how it is done still. I had no idea what was going on. I don't get out here much and feel really bad about this whole transaction. In the future I am going to be VERY F'n CAREFUL how I word my add and replys. I really hate selling my prized possessions and now I got a world of poop on top of all the suffering. My BAD. Never again.

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

Brewski- You did nothing wrong. They are your parts, sell them how you wish. There is no "magic" one-way-only formula for selling parts. You sold it to the first person who posted in the thread, no rules were broken. If you had sold it to the other person who said "Ill take it" you would have not been wrong either. The sale was not made via PM, all was done on the thread. Case Closed. When folks don't get their way they need to learn how to move on and get over it, plain and simple.

Re: NOS GMC Brush Guard (NOT CHEVY)

Don't want to hijack but I have one to offer to help out a second board member. I finally got out to the building and I have one I removed from my 72 GMC 4x4 that was installed for a short period of time years ago. It has a few chips in the oem paint but overall it is in very nice original condition. Was originally bought in it's accessory GM box from a local GMC dealer that went out of business back in the 90's. I don't have the box but the grille guard has been stored inside since removed.
I'll offer it to Landsurvey1 first and can repost my own listing if he is not interested anymore. I can get pictures but I have to get it down out of the rafters in the shop.
