A/C POA clamp

What color or metal finish should the clamp be that holds the POA valve to the A/C evap case. I tryed to phosphate coat it and it came out kind of an orange color.

Re: A/C POA clamp

I believe they should have a Zinc or cadmium type finish.

Re: A/C POA clamp

The large clamp at the back of the POA valve looks to be black. Is that right?
Could you send me some pictures of the A/C lines and how the condenser mounts.

Re: A/C POA clamp

Hope these help. The second picture showing the A/C line routing was taken before the inner fender was installed. The last picture shows the condenser lines routed under the battery tray. I had to fabricate some of the compressor mounting brackets to accommodate the Vortec crate engine.

Re: A/C POA clamp

These photos are terrific. Thanks. Are there any brackets that hold the condenser and the dryer to the core support or are they part of the condenser?

Re: A/C POA clamp

The dryer is secured by 2 separate brackets. If I recall correctly, the condenser is secured by brackets permanently welded to it. I'd check, but I'm 2000 miles from my truck

EDIT: Here is the only picture I have that shows the condenser and dryer mounting provisions. Yellow highlights the dryer brackets and red shows the top condenser brackets. The bottom of the condenser is similar. Please ignore the trans cooler..
